Need some help? You've come to the right place!

At your wit's end trying to get your Type III back on the road? Chances are that somebody has had the same problem you're having, no matter how obscure.

If you're new to Type IIIs and need to get your bearings, visit the VW Type III Owner's Manual for an introduction. You might want to to pay special attention to the mechanical section.

A good reference book with clear pictures and good instructions is a great place to start for most routine repairs. A description of Type III literature is in the works; start there.

Consider joining the Type III e-mail list to discuss your repair with others. But wait! It's quite possible that others have discussed the same problem before. Browse through archives of the list on the web to see if you can find a solution right away.

Subject: ITS ALIVE!!!!!

MY CAR IS ALIVE!!! I AM SO HAPPY! THanks to all that helped me out but
it came down to my hitting myself in the head... I jus thad to put NEW
points in AGAIN... and put the wires at 1432 instead of 1234.. Blah...
but I still want a 009... and I want 32's...I have a pair of 34's I will
trade for them! all I have to do is get new valve cover gaskets.. and I
will be able to try and get her inspected and registered! sorry I just
had to rant and rave! I am so happy my baby will be back on the road
again! the funny thing is it was cold as a B#%^# and Snowing and I was
STILL out there trying to revive my car.. god.. I love T-III's!
